It will be your responsibility to:

  • Manage and improve work, environmental and civil protection systems in the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements;
  • Organize internal monitoring of the work environment, risk assessment, and implementation of preventive measures;
  • Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety requirements in production processes and promote the development of a safe working environment and safety culture within the company;
  • Coordinate environmental protection issues, compliance of company operations with environmental requirements and the conditions of the polluting activity permit;
  • Maintain and improve the management and certification systems implemented in the company (FSC, PEFC), as well as coordinate related audits;
  • Analyze occupational safety and environmental indicators, identify opportunities for improvement, and promote the necessary measures;
  • Cooperate with company management and structural units, group colleagues, external partners, and state institutions on occupational health and safety and environmental issues.

We expect from you:

  • Higher education and professional qualification in the field of occupational health and safety, as well as knowledge and practical understanding of environmental protection issues;
  • At least 3 years of practical work experience in the field of occupational health and safety and environmental protection, preferably in a manufacturing company;
  • Experience in the independent management of occupational health, safety, and environmental issues, including cooperation with supervisory institutions and auditors;
  • I am able to independently plan and organize my work, set priorities, and drive issues through to results;
  • Good communication skills and an analytical, systematic, and precise approach to work;
  • I am able to reasonably justify and promote compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements within the company, and train employees;
  • Very good knowledge of Latvian and English - Latvian is required for working with the local team, English for cooperation with the company's international team.
