Financial Controller

My HR client – Vika Wood SIA – is one of the companies within the international HS Timber Group, which is a leading timber processing company worldwide. The company employs over 2,800 individuals in production facilities across Europe and South America, and it supplies a diverse range of wood products to more than 80 countries globally.

As we expand our finance team, we are looking for a finance controller who sees more than just numbers and helps us make strategic decisions based on data and analysis. You will work closely with the finance manager, who not only leads but also inspires, shares experience, and supports professional growth.

It will be your responsibility to:

Prepare budgets, budget forecasts, reports, analyze them and provide recommendations for improvement.;
Analyze the company's costs, profit indicators, and deviations from the plan.;
Summarize and track production costs, efficiency metrics, and key KPIs.;
Monitor and analyze inventory records, turnover, and product cost calculations.;
Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes in collaboration with the accounting team;
Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and other teams to ensure data-driven decision-making;
Improve reporting, control processes, and financial analysis tools;
Support the development of ERP and other financial/manufacturing systems.

We expect from you:

Higher education in finance, economics, or accounting;
At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis (experience in manufacturing is preferred);
Experience in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial statements;
Strong skills in MS Excel and financial accounting systems, and experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is preferred;
Developed analytical skills, accuracy, and initiative;
I can independently plan work, set priorities, and achieve goals.;
Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
